From tvguide.com : "Exciting new details have emerged about Sarah Michelle Gellar's new CBS series, Ringer, which sounds potentially even more intriguing than the goings on in Buffy's old Sunnydale universe.

If her pilot is picked up, Sarah Michelle will star as twin sisters, Bridget Cafferty and Siobhan Marx. Bridget, we'll learn, is a recovering addict who is about to testify in court against a dangerous murderer. The morning of the trial, she slips away and goes on the run from the FBI. With no where else to go, she reaches out to her estranged sister, Siobhan, who seems to have it all:  money, clothes, a ritzy Upper West Side apartment and a loaded, hot hubby named Andrew.

Soon after Bridget contacts her sister, Siobhan commits suicide — or so it seems.

This twist of fate allows Bridget to assume her "dead" sister's identity, unaware of just how messed up Siobhan's life secretly is. It doesn't take long for Andrew to notice that something's off about his wife.

Other characters Bridget (as Siobhan) will have to fool: Siobhan's BFF, Gemma, an architect who has been renovating Siobhan and Andrew's new, even more luxurious pad. Interestingly, Gemma has a pair of twins of her own. Could her knowledge of twins help her figure out what Bridget has done?

It also turns out that Gemma has a crummy marriage to Henry, an out-of-work alcoholic novelist who'd been having a torrid affair with Siobhan! Naturally, he comes to question why his mistress no longer seems into him.

Bridget must also steer clear of the muscular FBI Agent Victor Machado, who tracks his escaped witness to New York, where he finds only Siobhan. All this stress will test Bridget's sobriety. Too bad her AA sponsor — good looking black community college professor, Malcolm Howard — is all the way back in Wyoming. Seems there may have been something more brewing between Bridget and Malcolm outside of their AA meetings.

So Buffy fans, does this storyline excite you enough to watch Sarah Michelle Gellar in this new role? Err... Make that roles because you know it's probably just a matter of time before "dead" Siobhan turns up very much alive."

AAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so excited !!! First, I'm a huge Buffy fan and think Sarah Michelle Gellar is a particularly great actress who hasn't been given that much good material. I was really looking forward to her show on HBO "The Wonderful Maladys" but it didn't get picked up. Too bad because it sounded great. This one sounds awesome and the only reserve I would have for now, not having see the trailer so not knowing what it looks like or anything, is that it's on CBS and I don't really trust them for good shows (How I Met Your Mother is the only show I watch on that network and it's a comedy. So we'll see but it goes probably number one on my list !!!
