big love

Big Love season four returns in January! Look for lots of stuff with Nicki's daughter Cara Lynn and baby-daddy J.J. (Zeljko Ivanek), more Indian casino business for Bill (and the messy socio-political ramifications thereof), and a new actress to play little Tancy Henrickson (Bella Thorne replaced Jolean Wejbe earlier this year).

From Kristin : "According to Ginnifer Goodwin herself, "Margene is on a self-discovery mission this year. She's trying on all kinds of identities and discovering that she's incapable of handling trauma which is always very exciting. I'm not going to tell you what the trauma is. And I have to say that Margene's powers of manipulation have perfected a bit, having Nikki as a role model.""
Cool ! I love Margene ! She's so much fun ! She plays it all innocent but she understand much more than they give her credit for !! And knowing that she'll become more manipulative makes me want to watch even more !! Go Margie !!!

Ginnifer Goodwin, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Bill Paxton, Chloe Sevigny, Big Love Lacey Terrell/HBO

From Krsitin : "Big Love is back, and everyone's favorite polygamists are in for a roller-coaster season of shocking love affairs, family revelations and deadly danger.

We just caught up with the stars at the Big Love season-three premiere party and got the inside scoop on what's to come. Among other things, Ginnifer Goodwin (Margene) told us, "This season we'll answer the very question that people most often stop me on the street to ask, which is what is your relationship to your stepson?"

Are Margie and Ben finally going to act on their inappropriate chemistry? What other reveals can we expect to see? Read on for a tipsheet of the top five secrets of the season:

1. How far will Nicki go for her father? According to Jeanne Tripplehorn, "Nicki gets into a lot of trouble this year," and according to Chloe Sevigny, "In the third season Nicki's father is on trial. She tries to get some information about the trial from the district attorney's office, and she gets in a little over her head...There's a lot of ups and downs, a lot more secrets and lies." Oh, Nicki...

2. What killed Bill and Joey's sister Maggie? Yes, the mystery of what happened to Lois and Frank's long-lost daughter Maggie will finally be revealed. Grace Zabriskie (Bill's mom Lois) tells me, "We're finding out what it means to Lois, and Bill is finding out a couple of things about it that he didn't know." The truth about Maggie's death is pretty horrifying, and it motivates Bill to finally face down an old enemy.

3. Where do the Henricksons come from? According to Doug Smith, who plays oldest son Ben, "This is the first time I ever went to the compound. Ben never went to the compound the first two seasons. You'll definitely see the younger, teenage Big Love castmembers at Juniper Creek." And worlds collide.

4. Can Heather and Sarah's friendship survive long-term? The fans will learn a shocking secret about Sarah at the end of episode two, but it will be a while before Heather catches on, and it's going to be a terrible shock for her when she finds out. According to the wonderful Tina Marjorino, "Heather is really being tested this season with everything going on with Sarah (Amanda Seyfried). There are a lot of things that Heather's had to question and certain things that she's had to put aside to be friends with Sarah. It's a really good storyline, very intense."

5. Is Barb going to die? Jeanne wouldn't spill any secrets about Barb's health, but she did admit a Barb-centric drama continues throughout the season, saying, "Barb has a personal crisis, which I can't really divulge, and it kind of works out and then of course she's kind of faced-punched every episode. Just when it seems like she gets back up again some new crisis develops...The crisis goes on for a bit." OMG!

Can your love for Big Love live on if Barb dies? Are you thrilled to finally be back in touch with the Henrickson clan?

NOOOO : Barb can't die ! She's my favourite ! I hate Nikki !! I love Margie, she's fun and all but Barb is the mother, the original one, the most normal one !!! She can't go (and she probably won't !).

I wanna know what's going on with Sarah !!

When asked when Big Love was coming back, Ausiello answered and gave us some scoop : "although all HBO is saying is 2009 -- could they vague that up a little more? -- intel is already beginning to leak. And here is a biggie: Turns out one of the wives may have a surprise daughter. As in, she's had this daughter for more than a decade! Casting is already underway for the youngster, who's said to be a dead ringer for Mom." Wow !! I wonder who that is ! Probably Nikki ! I hope it's not Barb ! And Margie seems too young to have a ten year old daughter ! We'll see !

"The stars and creators of HBO's Big Love hit the Los Angeles Times' Emmy Screening Series at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood last night to talk about the show, and they spilled some good deets about season three.

Click in to find out which wife's star is rising, which character is going to finally get "payback" and if he were a bug, what kind of bug Bill Henrickson would be...

• According to Bill Paxton, who plays patriarch Bill Henrickson, before he had the script, he had no idea Big Love was going to be a suburban family drama. "I thought it was going to be like Deliverance..."

• The recent stories in the news about fundamentalist Mormons will not go unaddressed on season three. Cocreator Mark V. Olsen said that in real life, the removal of children from polygamist homes has driven some of the "more mainstream" families underground, because they are afraid of losing their kids. According to Olsen, "There will be a heightened fear there, as we enter the third season." Meanwhile, Chloë Sevingy, who plays ultraconservative sister-wife Nicki Grant, says all the photos and footage of real sister-wives have finally "justified my hairdo."

• Nicki's going to ditch the "compound chic" look, at least at the beginning of season three. According to Chloë, Nikki starts dressing in "normal" clothes more often, but she may well restore the long skirt look before too long, for a "very particular story reason," according to cocreator Will Scheffer. Hmmm...undercover mission to reinfiltrate the compound?

• According to Jeanne Tripplehorn, who plays first wife Barb—the writers jokingly call her "St. Barb"—what you can expect next year is clear: "Season three: More creepiness!" For real though, I think the Henricksons hit the road. Someone asked about a family getaway and if the look on Jeanne's face was any indication, then, Bill, the wives and the kids are totally going on vacay this season.

• The fabulous ladies of Juniper Creek will continue to be present and accounted for this year: Just yesterday compound queen Mary Kay Place was shooting scenes in which Adeline writes her memoirs, and at some point in season three, Bill's mom Lois (Grace Zabriskie) "gets payback" against horrible husband Frank (Bruce Dern). You go, girls.

• According to the cast, Margie's star is rising this season as she enters into the world outside the family via her work for Weber Gaming. According to Ginnifer Goodwin, Margie is "going through puberty in a way," and Jeanne thinks that when it comes to Margie and the Weber storyline, "Margie is sowing her oat—singular."

• The Hollis clan is based on an actual homicidal Mormon cult of the '70s; several of the sister-wives are still at large and wanted by the FBI. Also, according to Mark Olsen, they will tell the story of Hollis Green's freaky-deaky and seemingly transgender wife: "We'll find out who she is."

Season three of Big Love premieres Jan. 11, 2009"

I'll probably like it but I think the CW has too many shows about rich kids (Gossip Girl, 90210 and this one) !

jeanne-tripplehorn.jpg Ausiello interviewed Jeanne Tripplehorn (Barb) on the SAG awards red carpet and this is what she said :
"the strike is affecting [the show] as of we're not working 'coz we were all set to go about 2 weeks into the strike we were ready to start season 3 so...It's ok, we'll just, hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, hopefully the strike will be, you know, we'll be on the other side of it".
And when asked "how long will it take to get back into production ?", she answered "from what I understand, a month".
Can't wait for the new season !!!
