USA Network just announced they were cancelling 2 shows : the dead zone and the 4400 ! This is weird
because, well, first of all, it's so not the time they usually announce cancelations, and second, the 4400 season finale was nothing like a series finale !!!Here is the statement they issued :
"We wish we could keep all our great shows alive forever. But we feel we need to give some of our new shows a platform to grow, and it's with great sadness that we say goodbye to two shows that had a great run and helped create the resurgence of original programming on our network and on all of cable."
What the hell ?!!
In a statement posted on the official 4400 message boards, series creator Scott Peters said, "We've had a great time bringing you this story and submersing you in the lives of all these incredible characters. Let me raise my metaphorical glass to you all and thank you for being so loyal and so dedicated. I wish we could go on forever, but the party has come to an end."
According to Ausiello, "already, petitions were circulating to get The 4400 renewed, but is the effort too little, too late? Can anything bring The Dead Zone back to life? Or should the shows be allowed to rest in peace?"
I'm not a huge fan of the 4400 so It's not such a big deal that they got canceled. The big deal is the way they did it, without even a proper series finale to bring closure to the storylines ! I hate when that happens ! Have a little respect for your audience ! They could shoot a special 2 hours episode or something to stand on its own as a finale but NOOO, they had to just cancel, just like that ! Anyway, they better not do that to shows like grey's anatomy : they have such a huge fan base, they would never get away with it !!

Ok so I watched the season premiere and I
don't really know what to make of it ! I skipped some parts ahead because I was a little bored but at the same time really exited about some parts of the story. First off, the opening sequence :
seeing everyone dressed in black and white as for a wedding or as if to celebrate the coming together of everyone, 4400 or "extra scrispy" as they put it (couldn't stop laughing at that line !);
but most of all the fact that everyone, including Diana and Tom, had new powers ! Dream or flash forward ? It was presented as a dream but it could be both ! The problem I have with this season is
the whole promicin storyline ! I think the whole people with powers thing was much more interesting when it was just the 4400, which gives plenty of storylines of you follow 4400 characters ! But
adding the "extra crispy" is just too much ! But we'll see how it turns out. The fact that Alana was not in the episode makes me wonder if the actress is coming back this year. I know she's on a
french tv show (suspectes) but I don't think they're still shooting it and I don't know if she'll be back on the L word next season so that doesn't give me any info or whether or not she'll be back
on the 4400 but she's not mentioned on the summaries from spoilerfix. Anyway, looking forward to see April come back and Maya have cryptic visions !! But according to spoilerfix, the most
interesting storyline is still to come since they say that a 4400 "claims that Jordan Collier and the 4400 are not a threat but that "them" are". So, any idea on who "them" are ? The Nova Group ?
NTAC ? The "extra crispy" ? Or maybe the new generation of 4400, born from 4400 parents, like Isabella ? Whoever "them" are, it sounds interesting enough to keep watching !
