dying-on-Desperate-Housewives_l

From ausiello : "It’s a showrunner’s prerogative to change his mind. So, although he insisted he wasn’t killing off any characters in this November’s big Wisteria Lane plane crash, Desperate Housewives boss man Marc Cherry has decided, on second thought, to kill several, including one that my mole says is a fan favorite. But who? Beats me, but frontrunners for the ill-fated fan fave, as far as I can see, are:

Orson: How do you write a klepto-killing blackmailer like this out of the corner he’s in? You write him out, period.

Karl: By the time his affair with Bree ends in disaster (and it will), Susan’s ex will have tried out pretty much every mattress in the neighborhood. Maybe now it’s time for him to test-drive a coffin.

Katherine: Time’s running out before her nervous breakdown stops being funny and starts being sad. Maybe she’d be better off if time was simply up.

Andrew: Shawn Pyfrom asked to be taken off contract this season so that he could pursue other interests in his free time. Having a plane crash into his character would give him even more free time, now wouldn’t it?

Julie: Given all her problems this season (pregnancy scare, adulterous affair, near-death strangulation, having Susan as a mother, etc.), I wouldn’t be surprised if she ran into the path of the plane.

Bob and/or Lee: These two are so dullsville, I vote for taking both of them out and turning the keys to their house over to Cam and Mitchell from Modern Family.

Jackson: It’s a classic soap opera twist: A well-liked character vanishes, only to return on the very day tragedy strikes. But Cherry wouldn’t be that cruel… or would he?"

Desperate-Housewives_l

From Ausiello : "That noise you hear is the sound of property values plummeting on Wisteria Lane. This November on Desperate Housewives, the most dangerous street in America will be the site of yet another calamity, this time a neighborhood plane crash.

“It’s going to be my cliffhanger for the first half of the season,” series creator Marc Cherry says of the tragedy, which, he adds, will “affect everyone’s lives.”

Since the story is still in the planning stages, many of the biggest details — including who’ll be on board the small aircraft and who’ll be in its path — are still, as it were, up in the air. But this much Cherry knows for sure: The catastrophe will not claim the life of a housewife. “I’d love to kill somebody ’cause that’s just what I do,” he laughs. “But the truth is, right now I don’t have anyone major dying.”"

Good !! I know he's always wanted to kill one of the kids because it would be an interesting storyline to show what a mother is going through in that kind of situation. But he hasn't done it yet and I'm not sure he ever would (the network probably wouldn't let him !!). Well, so it's just another catastrophe !
But I'll take this opportunity to say that I'm really enjoying the new season. Except for the new neighbours : their story HAS to be more complicated than it seems because right now it just looks like the kid did something wrong and they had to move because of him. The woman's cars look like she's been in a fire. But I have to admit I don't really care about their story. I've said this before : the only major mystery soryline that was good on the show was the one with Mary Alice in season 1 because ever since it's always been boring and predictable and not well written. So we'll see about this one but it's been two episodes and I'm not impressed !! But the other regular storylines are interesting, especially Bree discovering her sexuality and starting acting like a "normal" woman ! Lynette struggling with her pregnancy, Susan having to deal with Julie's accident and Catherine's break down, Gaby having to deal with a teenager... I really like this season so far !!

From Ausiello : "It was bound to happen: The increasing depletion of TV ad dollars as a result of digital video recorders has led one network to commit murder.

ABC has recruited Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry to produce a series of eight commercials for Sprint that will unfold as a weekly soap opera. The goal? Pausing the fast-forward phenomenon.

“They’re kind of like the old Taster’s Choice commercials, but we added a lot of wicked dark humor, murder and adultery and betrayal,” explains Cherry of the 35-second spots, which will air once a week during Housewives beginning with the Sept. 27 premiere.

“It’s very Desperate Housewives,” adds exec producer Sabrina Wind. “It was shot on our set, with our crew, and written by our writers.”

None of the show’s regulars will appear in the ads, but Cherry has found a way to connect the marketing experiment with the ABC hit. Soap stars Rebecca Staab and David Chisum — who play the couple at the center of what Cherry calls the “murderous love triangle” — will cross over to Housewives “as background extras.”"
Weird ! But why not !!

wenn-jesse-metcalfe.jpg

From Perez : "This is a bad idea!

Jesse Metcalfe will be reprising his role as the formerly sexy help on Desperate Housewives.

A source tells OK Magazina that "he'll be on for 6 to 8 episodes, with the possibility of coming back full time" and "he'll have a lot of shirtless scenes.""

I don't like him ! He thinks too much of himself despite the fact that he hasn't done anything before or since Desperate Housewives ! He just seem like an ass !!!

Teri Hatcher, Dana Delany Fame Pictures

From Kristin : "Two brides!

Hey, what is this, some sort of experimental polygamist thing?

Or could there be a double wedding in the works on Desperate Housewives, wherein Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer marries one guy and Dana Delany as Katherine Mayfair marries another?

Or are the producers just playing with us? That's probably what's going on here, and since the Desperate Housewives folks have given us the oh-so-juicy (and lovely) photo of the two brides above, we're going to have some fun, too, with a Desperate Housewives poll.

Help us decide: Who's the more beautiful bride, and which one of these women is going to marry James Denton's Mike Delfino?"

I KNEW it was weird to leak these photos of Catherine as a bride so soon !! They're playing with us !! They shot 2 scenes and we're probably not gonna know who the bride is for a while !!! To tell you the truth I don't really care ! For once I can totally wait !! I know Mike will end up with Susan anyway so it's just a matter of how long this will take and I can wait !!

From seriouslyomg.com : "So when season 5 of Desperate Housewives ended, they were all attending Mike Delfino’s wedding to a mystery bride. So we were left to spend the summer wondering if it was ex-wife Susan Mayer or his fiancee Katherine Mayfair?
Well one of my readers Sandy was taking one of those tours of Universal Studios, where the show tapes, and guess who she saw in a wedding dress ? By the looks of the picture she took, I think we know who the new Mrs Delfino is… So if you want to know who she is, then

Looks like Dana Delaney is a housewife once again. I mean she looks to be wearing the same dress that the woman was wearing when she married him, but the one difference is her hair is down instead of up. Maybe production messed up on that one? So do you think she is the bride or there was second wedding and she is marrying someone else?
So how do you guys feel about her being the bride if she is the one? I think she is better for Mike than Susan, but I might be biased because hopefully that clears the way for Gale Harold to return as Jackson."

Pfff, I don't care ! I don't believe in Mike and Catherine for a second ! I'm not invested in them as a couple.  And we all know (Marc Cherry said so himself) that in the end it's gonna be Mike and Susan. It's good that it's taking time, this way it's not too boring ! But anyway, Mike marrying Catherine is just stupid !! He knows he's not over Susan, she knows he's not over Susan, so why kid themselves ?!! Whatever ! Let's just wait and see what season 6 will look like !

Andrea-Bowen_l

From Kristin : "Wisteria Lane is welcoming back one of its own this fall: Original Desperate Housewives star Andrea Bowen has signed on to reprise her role as Susan's eldest spawn, Julie.

Although ABC would only confirm that Bowen is set to appear in the Sept. 27 season premiere, a Housewives insider tells me that the actress is returning as a series regular.

Bowen vanished from Housewives at the end of season 4, a casualty of the show's four-year flash forward. She briefly returned last season when Julie, on break from college, announced that she was dating her 40-year-old professor Lloyd (Steven Weber). It's not clear if he'll be accompanying her back home, but I'm guessing not."
